This screen allow you to define the various types of Containers to be used in the company.

A NonReusable container's status will be automatically changed to "Scrapped" once it is empty.

The following dimensional values indicate the default capacities of the container and are passed through to the Container master record on creation. They can be overridden if required.

Container Style: Select either "Container Contents"  or  "Assembly Order".  The default is Container Contents.

"Container Contents" - means anything can go into this container.

"Assembly Order" - is a "Virtual Container" - this container type can only store contents from a single Assembly Order (issues and receipts).

This controls whether this container is a virtual storage container for the purposes traceability of manufactured serialised or batched products and their associated component issues. This means that the contents of this         virtual container will show all components and their variants (eg: batch / S/N) in one place along with the receipt finished product.

Each Serialised Finished Goods Item must be linked to ONE container. Equally in a Batched Finished Goods environment, ONE batch will be associated with ONE container.

This container will automatically be marked as shipped, when the AO is closed however it will remain in the system for historic purposes allowing full component->Serialised Product traceability

This Container style is copied to the Container Master record upon creation of the Container itself. The first issue or receipt to this container will link this container to that AO.

Label Report: If required, a Label Report can be linked to this Container Type.

SSCC Options: (Serial Shipping Container Code) - Options are "No SSCC"  or "Manual SSCC"

"Manual SSCC" will enable an SSCC field to be available for entering an SSCC code for the actual container.

Linked Item Code: If this is a "Chep Pallet" or loan pallet type, then enter the item code for that pallet type. This will enable Ostendo to keep track of the inventory of such containers.

Adjustment Type: Select a stock Adjustment Type from the dropdown list. This defines the Default Stock Adjustment Type which will initially populate the new containers when created. The stock Adjustment Type can be amended before the container ID is saved.

Upload Required: (Upcoming Feature) This will be used when we upload Container Contents to Ostendo.Work enabling a Freeway Standalone solution to read the Container Contents.

Status: Select either "Active" or "InActive".
