Two Bin Replenishment

Inventory -> Two Bin Replenishment

This screen allows the user to scan (or manually enter) the empty bin Barcode, which will trigger the following:

    • An Order Requirement will be generated automatically for the Bin Qty against the Supplier held on the Item Master (or Item Site Master in the case of Multi Site Inventory). A user can then run the Create Required Orders screen to generated the required Purchase Order.

    • Any Assembly BackFlush Issues or Manual Issues (including Job Picking, Sales, POS or Inventory Adjustments of ISSUE Types) of that item (with a matching warehouse) are totalled since the last time the bin was emptied. Ostendo will determine the difference between the Bin Qty and the total Issue Qty and automatically create a stock transaction for that difference, with an Adjustment Source of "TWOBINISSUE" and use the Adjustment Type of "ISSUE". Therefore we do not over issue since the last bin re-order.

    • A running balance for Two Bin inventory records is maintained behind the scenes.

Process:

    • By pressing the Add Button Ostendo will display a "Scan Barcode" screen

    • Either Scan the Bin Barcode or type the Barcode value directly into this scan field, then press OK
    • After recognising that Barcode, Ostendo will retrieve the Two Bin Re-Order information held against that Bin and Item and generate an Order Requirement record. This screen will also show other Two Bin Requirements not yet converted into Purchase Orders.

    • Close down this screen
    • Run the Created Required Orders screen to display and Action the Order Requirement for that and optionally any other items you may wish to order from that supplier at the same time. Do this by selecting the appropriate record(s)

    • Press the Generate Orders for Selected Requirements button to generate the Purchase Order(s)
    • A Purchase Order will be generated allowing you to process it in the normal manner.
    • Once the Purchase Order has been generated, the requirement will be removed from the Two Bin Replenishment screen.
