Freeway Picking Vs Materials

Here we explain the difference between Picking & Material Issues

Template Type - ASSYPICKING & JOBPICKING:

Freeway allows you to Pick contents of an existing order. In this case the Items / Descriptors and qty's must already be defined on the Order

NB: It is also possible within this process to add new lines and then Pick them

Template Type - MATERIALS  - (both Job and Assembly Orders)

Freeway allows you to directly issue an Item or Descriptor that has not already been defined on the Order

Transfers

Think of Transfers in a similar way to how we process Picking. The Receipt side of the transaction occurs automatically based upon the desired receiving location.

  • Adhoc Transfers (TRANSFERADHOC): When processing an Adhoc Transfer you must first add the item you wish to transfer, and then pick that item to the desired location.
  • Content Transfers (TRANSFERCONTENTS): When processing a Content Transfer, the Items are populated already based upon the Order etc.. being scanned. You would simply pick them and they will be moved to the desired location. You may also add new items that are not already specified
  • Job/Assy Assigned (TRANSFERASSIGNED): When processing an Assigned Job/Assy Transfer, the Items are populated already based upon the Orders assigned to that user. You would simply pick them and they will be moved to the desired location. You may also add new items that are not already specified
  • Re-Stock Transfers (TRANSFERRESTOCK): When processing a Restock Transfer, the Items are populated already based upon the Re-Stock Template. You would simply pick them and they will be moved to the desired location. You may also add new items that are not already specified
