Freeway Concepts
Imagine having the ability to create you own customisable forms enabling you to capture multiple types of data irrespective of internet access to your device, whether that is a Smartphone or Tablet.
These days Compliance has become an industry in its own right. There are many sophisticated software products that now allow you to capture specific information for this purpose. These products are generally 'web-based' and 'hard coded' which means they are reliant on a full time internet connection using browser software on the device. They will also be limited to specific functions which may or may not be applicable to your requirements or organisation.
These products remain standalone to your Operational Software, therefore there is little or no integration to your own business software.
Finally, most mobility software is charged on a per user basis, which means 'X' amount per user. Whilst in some cases the per users cost is small on its own, this cost can mount up over time and also become a constraint for extending this use of this software to other parts of the organisation.
How Is Freeway Unique To Other Software Solutions?
Freeway turns these concepts on their head by allowing you to create multiple customised solutions that are in your control. Freeway not only allows you to capture traditional data (eg: Photos, Audio, Sketches, and other data types but also allows you to create your very own configurable checklists. This may simply take the form of recording specific data eg: Readings, Notes, etc. However you may also want to perform specific organisational tasks, for instance recording Timesheets, Materials used on Jobs and updating the status of those jobs to indicate "where we are with that work"
Configurable checklists can also be take to another level by making them 'Conditional Checklists'. These types of checklists provide evaluated results instantly back to the mobility user based upon an answer they have provided to a checklist entry. This evaluated result can then produce a simple message or even automatically launch a different checklist based on their response. This type of checklist is especially useful for diagnostics, problem solving or pricing.
Freeway works with your existing Ostendo Operational software. This means that you can not only create and configure your own Freeway solutions from within Ostendo and deploy them to your Freeway Mobility users, but also send data out from Ostendo to specific users. (eg: Job deployment). This means a Service Tech can receive a Job from Back Office staff, Record Times, Materials, Checklist information / Photos, signatures etc against the job and return that information back to Ostendo to automatically update that jobs details.

Freeway requires only One Ostendo API license to run 'Unlimited' Freeway mobility users. There is No Charge for each Mobility user. The Freeway application itself is a native Android or IOS app installed on each device and is available Free of Charge from either the Goggle Play or Apple App Stores. Once the Freeway application is installed on the device and user has entered their own user and password details, a simple synchronisation process downloads the necessary Templates ready for use immediately.
