Linked Documents & Images

This process has changed in Update 243 as any linked Images & Documents must be upload from your local drive to the Remote database server.

Images:

The creation of the Image Management record is similar to that in previous versions of Ostendo however now when you Browse for the file, in the Image Management Detail screen you are asked 

Yes = The Open File dialog screen will be displayed allowing you to browse to an image from your local machine. After pressing "Open" that image will be uploaded directly to the remote server.

No = Take this option if you wish to use an image already stored against another record. You will then be presented with a list of all Image records allowing you to select an existing record using that same image.

Special Note - Item Images:

When the Item Detail screen is displayed where that Item has a linked image, the image box will show the words "Item has an Image". A new button is available above this box allowing you to display the image

Documents

The creation of the Document Management record is similar to that in previous versions of Ostendo however now when you Browse for the file, in the Document Management Detail screen you are asked 

Yes = The Open File dialog screen will be displayed allowing you to browse to  document from your local machine. After pressing "Open" that document will be uploaded directly to the remote server.

No = Take this option if you wish to use a document already stored against another record. You will then be presented with a list of all Document records allowing you to select an existing record using that same Document
